Chocolate Chip Muffin & Sarah Benton

Muffin is an 11 year old Shetland pony that rides and drives.  She is a true ambassador for her breed, teaching Elizabeth and Sarah how to ride as well as becoming an official show horse for the first time when this photo was taken.  Sarah and Muffin took first that day in the interim walk/trot class out of seven entries.

Rocky Road & Elizabeth Benton

Rocky is a 20-something year old mustang who came to us as a seasoned ranch, cow and trail horse.  He is an easy going fellow that is unflappable, thus he is an irreplaceable confidence builder and first horse.  Rocky's show career began in early 2008 with Emily and in this photograph he and Elizabeth took second their first time showing together.  I can't help but wonder if Rocky isn't thinking "this is the silliest trail ride I've ever been on - all we do is go around and around."

Buttons N Bows & Emily Benton

Spicy is a 16 year old dun overo medium pony we were very fortunate to purchase from the Johns family.  Spicy is a former eventer who has been there and done that, and taught both of the Johns girls how to ride before they began their sucessful youth careers in AQHA competition.  Spicy and Emily have had a sucessful year together showing at the local hunter shows on the flat and now Spicy is teaching Emily the ropes over fences.
