Rowan Creek Farms is nestled in the small, quiet community of Rowan in Southeastern North Carolina.  Our farm sits on 70 beautiful acres along the Black River and borders Rowan Creek, thus the way our farm found its name.  It is here that our family shares a very blessed life filled with blueberries and horses.  We raise a very small number of AQHA hunt seat prospects each year.  Keeping the number of foals we raise to just a few allows us the opportunity to spend more individual time with each foal. And when we're not spending time with our horses or showing, we are busy tending to our 600 acre blueberry farm.

My obsession with horses started as a toddler when my Aunt introduced me to my first pony, Comanche.  From that day forward I was hooked and was so desperate to ride I would put my pony saddle on my mother's suitcase and "ride" it across the living room floor everyday.  Several different ponies and horses taught me how to ride as a kid and finally, in 1987, I saved up enough money from working on my family's blueberry farm to buy my first "real" show horse, an AQHA mare I called "Dusty".  Throughout high school and college I worked for trainers and on breeding farms in exchange for the opportunity to learn and to show.  And now I am blessed with the opportunity to do what I love - breeding and showing American Quarter Horses - and to share that experience with my family.
